Film Daze

Ok you young whipper snappers tell me how this photograph was taken? Film of course but give me the set up? Back in the days you had to no limits with what you could do with film photography and your camera worked for you and not the other way around! No limits and infinite possibilities knowing photography 101 and a joint or two! #Film #B/W #MinoltaSRT200 #Picasso #LightWriting #DaBronx #FridayNights #Experimenting #NickleBag circa 1979 #JoeConzoArchives2020

My Abuelita

What an honor today to have a park named after my grandmother Dra. Evelina Lopez Antonetty! My grandmother affectionately known as The “Hell Lady of The Bronx” literally gave her life for the basic human rights for Bilingual education Summer Lunch/Breakfast program for the people of The Bronx. She was a staunch believer in education and subscribed to the premises that politicians worked for the people and that the people don’t work for the politicians! She had no problem in telling them to Shut up and listen! So proud of my family legacy! #EvelinaPresente! #Siempre! #Activist #HumanRights #Community #Family #Legacy @ Mott Haven, Bronx
